The Tuna Melt at Elbert’s Sandwiches

My Kids love the burgers and cheesesteak at Elbert’s. We do not visit as often as we want to since this establishment moved from its original Rockwell location to Alabang. However, when we are in the area, we make sure and stop by.

Last Saturday, we drove over as S has been craving for their burger. While the rest of the family had burgers and cheesesteaks, I had my staple, the Tuna Melt with Provolone (P240). The menu describes it at Gen San tuna mixed with premium mayo served on a rustic roll. I believe this version should not be overlooked, as it is a more than relevant option.

This has always been a favorite of mine as I like the fact that there is more Tuna than mayo, it is one and only Tuna Melt that has Provolone as per my knowledge, it is served in an excellent roll instead of toast, and most important of all, it tastes great. Try having it with some pickled jalapenos for that added kick that is both tart and spicy. For sides, I recommend having Elbert’s Beer Battered Onion Rings (P60). I am not a fan of Onion Rings in general, but I like what I had. It kept its crunchiness and never got soggy. Pricing admittedly is on the moderate to high side, but I think it is worth it. Next time you are in the area, give it a try.

Hi. I'm glad you liked our Tuna Melt. Thanks for the nice review. Btw, the restaurant changed its name to Elbert's Sandwiches and we dropped the word 'cheesesteaks'. Hoping to see you in Alabang next time you visit.
