Save the Date for ‘Dinner for Dessert’!
14 September, 2012
onIn our previous dinner, we featured a heart-stopping nose-to-tail feast. It was a testament to the Pinoy’s love for pork. This October we will host another special meal focusing on that other thing we Filipinos love – DESSERT.
In fact we plan to serve “Dinner for Dessert”.
This time around we have Chef Sunshine Pengson on board, part of the great duo behind The Goose Station. While she has an obvious talent for savory creations, her passion really shines in the patisserie department. Chef Sunshine has presented us with a first draft of the fine, multi-course menu and it’s definitely swoon-worthy. We won’t be serving sweets for all courses. The menu will highlight pastry and dessert techniques in savory dishes and throw in some savory components in the desserts.
Interesting, right?
Of course there will be no lack of actual desserts. There will be a few.
DINNER FOR DESSERT MENU
Prociutto macaroon
Foie-llipop
Truffle puffs
Marinated Tuna, Coffee Crumble, Cold Cucumber Soup
Millefeuille of Button Mushrooms, Apple and Foie Gras Torchon, Caramel Sauce

Chocolate Plate

I was just thinking about celebrating my birthday here! Save me a seat, please. I would love to bring the hubby, but do you think they could give him a slightly modified menu to accommodate his diet restrictions? (No pork and shellfish/crustaceans)

Will try to come, will confirm later (also have to be pain... but less than Matt, since I only need any pork off the menu but can take Matt's seafood...)
